LED Downlights
There are many types of LED downlights; the most common is the LED downlights to replace halogens bulbs in GU 10 and MR 16 fittings. GU10 bulb has 2 stubs and works on 240v, whereas the MR16 bulb has 2 pins and a transformer in circuit and works on 12v. You can easily retrofit these with Auslamps 3.5w and 10w LED bulbs and achieve lighting energy savings between 80 to 93% .
These LED downlights operate at 28*C Vs 58*C Halogens .Therefore these LED downlights not only reduce the heat load on air-conditioning but also greatly reduce the risk of Fire hazards. Although the light output of 3.5w LED down light is less than the normal 50w halogen, it has been found to be more than adequate in most applications from our customer feedback. The light output of our 10w LED downlights far exceeds that of a 50w halogen bulb by nearly 30%.
The 10w LED Down light is also dimmable and available in warm white and cool white.
Lower beam angle lights can be used as LED spotlights.
